Why should we choose Beyond Bliss?

Because you only get one chance to capture your wedding day—and we believe it should be done with care, intention, and a whole lot of heart. Some videographers might hand you a long list of “extras” for cheap, but often what’s missing is clear audio, full coverage, and storytelling that feels like you. Your film is one of the only keepsakes you’ll take away from the day, and you can’t go back for a redo. We take that seriously—but in a laid-back, fun way that keeps the focus on your celebration, not our cameras.

What makes Beyond Bliss different from other videographers?

We’re storytellers, but we’re also laid back. We don’t stress if things run behind, we don’t take over your timeline, and we don’t film your day any differently whether you’ve booked a Highlight Film or a Legacy Film. We capture it all with the same care and creativity, and then give you flexibility to choose what edits you want after your wedding. No pressure—just your story, your way.

How would you describe your style?

Our films lean cinematic and storytelling-focused. We weave together your day in a way that feels natural, authentic, and full of emotion. While we often edit in a chronological flow, we highlight the moments that really define your day—the laughter, the vows, the toasts, the quiet glances in between. It’s cinematic without being staged, carefully crafted but never forced.

What should I do if I’m on the fence about wedding videography?

A wedding film lets you feel your day in a way photos can’t. You’ll hear voices, vows, and laughter, and you’ll see moments you might have missed while you were living in the whirlwind of it all.

How soon should I book?

Most couples book 6–12 months in advance. Popular weekends (like Labor Day or Columbus Day) tend to go first, so the sooner you reach out, the better.

How many videographers will be at my wedding?

Most weddings are filmed with one lead videographer. For some celebrations, we’ll bring along a second shooter to capture even more angles. We’ll talk this through with you during your consultation so you know exactly who will be there.

Do you offer raw footage?

Yes! Raw footage is available if you’d like every single clip from the day, unedited and unpolished. It’s like having the full archive of everything we filmed—perfect for couples who want to hold onto all the memories.

How long will it take to receive my finished wedding film?

Every film is handcrafted, which takes time. Depending on the season, delivery can take 3–6 months. We don’t rush the process—we take the time needed to create something you’ll love forever.

Do we get to choose the music?

We use licensed music that fits the mood of your day and your style as a couple. While we can’t always use commercial tracks (like your favorite radio hits) due to copyright laws, we’ll take your preferences into account and choose songs that feel like you.

Can we meet and talk about our ideas?

Absolutely! We love getting to know our couples. The better we know you, the better we can tell your story. Whether it’s over coffee, a Zoom call, or a quick chat, we want to hear what matters most to you.

How far do you travel? What are your travel fees?

We’re based in Rutland, Vermont, but we’ll happily travel wherever your story takes us. Packages include up to 75 miles (150 round-trip). For weddings more than 1.5 hours away, we’ll book a hotel or Airbnb for the night before and night of to keep things stress-free. Beyond that, we charge the standard IRS mileage rate (.58/mile).

Do you offer a payment plan? What forms of payment do you accept?

Yes! Standard contracts are broken into 4 installments, but we also offer flexible plans (up to 12 payments) with the final payment due 2 weeks before your wedding. We accept checks, cash, and Venmo. While we don’t process credit cards directly, Venmo does allow card payments if that’s easier for you.

What if I don’t like certain parts of my film?

We put our heart into every edit, but we also want you to be happy. After you receive your film, you’ll have one week to request small changes (like swapping a clip or removing a shot). We include one round of revisions—up to 1 hour of editing—at no charge. Larger changes (like restructuring the edit or altering audio) may be billed at an hourly rate. Trust that we’ve seen all the footage, listened to every word, and built the story in a way that best reflects you.

What does your equipment look like?

We film with Sony Alpha series cameras (primarily A7Siii), paired with discreet audio recorders and microphones. For vows, we mic the officiant and groom, which picks up the bride clearly too. At receptions, we record directly from your DJ or sound system for clean, crisp audio. We may also set up small lights in darker areas, but we keep things as low-key as possible so the focus stays on you.

Does Beyond Bliss carry insurance and business licensing?

Yes—we’re fully licensed and insured. That means peace of mind for you, and no issues with venues that require proof of insurance.

Do you have recommendations for other wedding pros?

Definitely! Over the years we’ve worked with some incredible photographers, planners, DJs, and florists. We’d be happy to share recommendations and connect you with people we trust.
