A Little Bit About Me
I’m a proud 2016 Graduate of Castleton University, where I studied Health Science and minored in Chemistry. While I was at Castleton I discovered a passion for filming and editing videos. In my senior year, I was able to combine my love for the University with my passion for video when I was able to work as a Student Videographer for the University. My videos (much to my surprise) were a hit on social media, collecting thousands of views, the highest numbers ever seen by the University on a video.
In the summer of 2016, I stumbled my way into filming my very wedding, and the rest is history!
In 2021, I got a real behind-the-scenes look into planning a wedding when I married the love of my life, Bryanna, on a perfectly partly cloudy summer day at The Kingston Place in Benson, Vermont.
Why do I film weddings?
I love a good love story, I know, it’s corny but c’mon, who doesn’t?!? Now take the feeling after you watch a good rom-com and multiply it by a million. That’s what it feels like when I put the finishing touches on a wedding film.
The style of film I try to make puts our couples' stories first. From our early consultations to stalking them on Instagram, I make it a point to not just get to know who our couples are, but also, what they like to do, things that make them unique, etc. Following that, I craft all of our wedding films using audio recorded from toasts, vows, notes, etc., and utilize this to tell the story of not just the wedding day, but hopefully the story of how our couple got to this very moment.
Aside from the dorky, storytelling aspect of it all, there’s just something so energizing about weddings, it’s what keeps me going. There’s no better feeling than walking away from a wedding knowing that you just captured moments that people will look back on for a lifetime.
I also love dancing (and being goofy) at weddings, and filming them gives me the opportunity to do that more than the average person 😜
Why should you choose Beyond Bliss (and me!)?
A video from your wedding day is a forever gift to yourselves, instead of something that'd just be nice to have to look back on your wedding. Your anniversary, when your kids grow older, when a loved one passes away, and so many more moments will have you looking back on your wedding film!
The truth is you only get one chance to do it right. If you are dealing with someone that is willing to film all day long, with multiple operators, give you all of the raw footage, DVDs, etc., etc. for $1000, you might want to take a step back and see what is missing. Most of the time they are showing you a 2-3 minute highlight reel with the best of their best shots, and it will rarely include audio from the ceremony or reception. Your wedding video is one of the only items you get to take away with you from your wedding day. You can’t go back and get more footage, or better audio once it happens. Are you going to really trust your uncle/first cousin twice removed to do that for you?
